Hello there~ Happy New Year!
My first post of 2019 will be about the classic dish of mac & cheese… with a twist (heh). As someone who loves kimchi (obviously), when I chanced upon this recipe I knew I had to try it out someday. That someday coincidentally was the last day of 2018, so it’s kinda weird/ cool to be writing this post in 2018 that will only be posted in 2019.
Anyways, this recipe is really simple – I love how I didn’t really have to buy many ingredients as I already had most of them in my house. It’s also great that this recipe uses milk instead of cream, as there’s always fresh milk in my fridge. Kimchi is also another (semi) staple in my house, I always try to replenish them when it runs out ASAP as I eat and cook with it often.
This recipe took me about less than 30 minutes to prep and cook, which was great as I was so hungry at that time. For those looking for a quick meal, I think this would be a good choice!
Now, about the taste… Well…. It! Tasted! Amazing! Seriously, the kimchi made the dish less heavy – sometimes I get tired quickly of dishes with a lot of cheese but with the kimchi it’s balanced out the taste nicely. Overall the dish was spicy, cheesy and very much delicious. 🙂
One thing about this dish is that it goes cold quite fast, and since there’s cheese it becomes lumpy. I took about 5 minutes to snap a few photos (for the gram yeah) and it was already starting to clump together. But nonetheless, it still tastes great so all’s good!

I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year, and please do follow me on my Instagram @whiskoflife if you haven’t already! I’ll be back with content soon! Till next time! xoxo ❤
